Goths . . . the opposite of Emo’s (Goth Posers) can be found plenty in the streets of L.A. but they are often seen around clubs. Although misunderstood at times, they are not what other people make them out to be, but in the end . . . who really cares? to you they are just another pray, another victim another human being that is to be hunted down. However it should be noted that experienced vampires have confirmed that Goth blood tastes better than Emo blood, but still taste a bit off. After all, nothing can replace Blue-Bloods vitae, even though its bland, it is at least clean.

The year 2004 was the pinnacle of Growth in popularity for the Emo culture. By then the Emo life L.A. was completely Mainstreamed. Be warned though, their blood is filled with anti-depressants and it will taste funny and uncommon to common vampires.

The mysterious disease is now spreading trough unconventional means and causing a sort of flue that damages the brain. The infected are not really zombies although after the disease has run its full course they will appear to be. The secret lies with the one who spread the disease – he is a lunatic who calls himself Bishop Vick.

The Ninth Circle – a mysterious cult responsible for the plague has now come full-force to protect their haven from being raided by the fledgling vampire. The cult members are known as The Shepherd of the Damned, and their goals and motivations are unknown to mortals, only known fact is that their blood contains the disease in which causes the plague. Vampires will always be carriers with varying secondary effect depending on their clan. Nosferatu’s curse of hag skin is worsen to a degree to which madness will overtake the carrier, Toreador will be even more obsessed with “their” art and will introduce them to a whole new level of “crazy”. Their leader and founder is Bishop Vick.

Kuei-jin group their Disciplines into several categories. The most widely known are Chi Arts, Soul Arts, Demon Arts, and Shintai Arts. Shintai Arts allow vampires to study and practice the movement of Chi through their bodies — the five Shintai (“god body”) forms are transformative arts based on the Kuei-jin elemental system of Blood (Water), Bone (Metal), Jade (Earth), Flesh (Wood), and Ghost-flame (Fire). Chi Arts allow Kuei-jin to evoke internal and ambient Chi for various purposes. Soul arts allow Kuei-jin to channel and master their Hun and P’o souls. Finally, Demon Arts are special powers unique to the Kuei-jin’s dark side of the soul.

Over the decades, the Scorpion Eaters have studied the Shintai powers fueled by their unique diet. Called the Bile Shintais, they encompass five unique Arts, each one roughly analogous to one of the five elemental Shintais practiced by other Kuei-jin. Scorpion Eaters can’t learn these normal Shintais, aside from Demon Shintai and Bile Shintai. Conversely, other Kuei-jin can’t learn Bile Shintai unless they abandon their Dharma, undergo the Eating the Scorpion Rite, and become Scorpions.

In such cases, points in existing Shintai Arts don’t transfer to the equivalent Bile Shintais; they are lost and the student must begin learning anew. Tainted Chi interacts with the body in a fundamentally different way from pure Chi, and the techniques for one aren’t applicable to the other. Storytellers, however, may rule otherwise.

The five regular Shintais (Blood, Bone, Flesh, Ghost-Flame, and Jade) are unavailable to Scorpion Eaters: The ingestion of tainted Chi makes their use impossible. The Scorpion Eaters, however, possess twisted versions of these Arts. Burning, Decay, Disease, Poison and Radiation. Whether this is a corruption of the god bodies or a secret gift from the Yama Kings to further their own agendas remains unknown. Knowing the Yama Kings, however, the latter is likelier.

In the following video you can see the Ninjas (that are partly composed Scorpion Eaters) use their Shintai. There is also some use of the Chi Arts that are used by KueiJin Ninjas:

The Vampires of the East are indeed resourceful, however it is not only the KueiJin you should worry about – there are also others the scorpion eaters who survive on tainted chi and hence possess Bile Shinati.

You will meet these creatures in a brand new location, with its brand new quest – which is partially underwater. More to be revealed soon.

Speaking of variety, we have four new models that will grace the game as civilian NPCs. The Asian, the L.A. Chick, the L.A. Dude and the Bum.

The Ninjas are the powerful hand of the KueiJin, they strike from the shadows and have powers that help them stay concealed.

Now they have been revamped, and look much better. They quality gear (better textures) and a new ability – they can now throw Kunai which they can throw around with their telekinetic ability. The poor victims wont even know what hit them.

The Warehouse, a mission that even the Prince himself thought that you would fail, is now even more dangerous since its patrolled by the new skin head punks. It is now more crowded, and harder to sneak in – but not impossible.

After planting the bomb you will face even more dangerous enemies, and for the first time the fledgling vampire has to battle the blood brothers . . . a fight that will change him forever, turning him into a neonate.
